Upcoming Plans

Well hi there! It’s been a while since I’ve made a post here, huh? Well, that’s my fault, entirely, because I’ve been spending my free time doing other things, instead of working on this blog, sadly.

But, once this week, finals week, is over, I’ll have about three weeks of nothing but work before my summer classes begin. I’ll only be working mornings until June, so when I get home each day through May, I’ll for sure be working on getting posts prepared and put together! 🙂

So, let me give an idea of what I’m planning to do.

I’m definitely planning to go back to my manga reviews. I want to go back and forth between all the series I own and have been reading, especially so I can finish them (I’ve read Naruto twice already, and I want to finish Assassination Classroom and Ouran High School Host Club) and do other things than JUST manga reviews, because I feel like I do that more than most things (apart from a few subscription boxes).

I do have a bunch of anime I want to review as well, but I may start doing that as a COMPLETE series/season, instead of one episode at a time. That takes a lot of time to prepare, and I don’t have enough space on here to pictures for every single anime episode that I want to review. So, my plan for this? I’m going attempt to watch several anime series over the summer(mostly short ones and I HAVE to finish Naruto Shippuden, especially since Boruto started and I’m enjoying watching it weekly), and then I will do overall reviews (if I own the whole series, I’ll show pictures of the box sets or single DVD [like for movies]). I think this will definitely work better than doing one episode at a time. (I changed my mom about doing anime reviews on Blogger. I’ll be continuing, finishing, and starting reviews here again.)

I do plan to start bringing coloring pages back to this blog, but moving cross stitching to my Blogger account (go here if you’d like to follow). I think that will be a lot easier for me, and I won’t need to worry about purchasing a plan on here for more space (not right now, anyway!) Product reviews, such as Amazon orders and the like, will be on Blogger as well. I have an Amazon order with several items on the way right now, and I will post that to BOTH blogs, with a link to Blogger again.

I’m not going to have a May Umai Crate. I received an email from JapanCrate, however, that they had applied a $5 credit to my account for a Premium JapanCrate, which made it the same price as an Umai Crate, and I was really wanting a crate of snacks instead of more ramen (i still have SEVERAL from my March crate). So once that gets here, I’ll be giving an overview of the whole crate, and hopefully making posts for each snack.

So, yeah. That’s the plan at the moment. I did have Hot Cash with Hot Topic, but I don’t think I’m going to do a post on it, sorry. I’ll have a post later this week or sometime next week about a couple of anime orders I made and a NatureBox order, so, please look forward to that!

I’m excited to be coming back to reviews! 🙂

October through December Posting Plan

Hello dear readers! Apologies for posts being short and, to me, a bit odd this month, but things are going to change, as I am working on planning out my days better to have time to do everything that I need to! Please note that the final week of September will have only two posts, an Artful Tuesday and Tasty Thursday post, as I have big plans for next month through December, and must prepare.

As for October, I plan to have, only on Saturdays and Sundays, blind box and bag openings at last! I have opened enough and gotten the pictures to where I can do eight posts on them, and I want to make that happen in October! Perhaps by November I’ll have gotten more and will be able to do so again! If I do, I’d like to do it in December as well.

I am, definitely, bringing back Manga Mondays next month! October 3rd will see the return of this weekly series, starting with Naruto volume 8, and continuing from there. I would love to be able to go back and forth between Naruto and the many other, much shorter, series I have and read. I’m going to try that, to see if I can get myself reading more again and posting more than just Naruto and Assassination Classroom reviews.

I also want to do a couple of actual novel reviews, probably on Sundays, starting in November. I have several novels and series I’m trying to get through, but I may just focus on various Japanese light novels (Naruto, The Devil is a Part Timer, No Game No Life, etc.)

Minecraft Mondays will be taking a small break, because of this. I simply do not have the time at the moment to sit for hours on end building in Creative mode, but I would like to start setting time aside on Sundays to work on different projects in Minecraft and begin posting them again as well. I anticipate a November return of Minecraft Mondays.

As for anime, I fully intend to bring that back as well, but I am not sure when. I want to finish the first season of Assassination Classroom and get the reviews for those episodes done, then move to the second season and watch some other series. I believe I will begin setting time aside at night to watch one episode from several series I’ve been DYING to try, and then I will write and post a review for Watchful Wednesdays again, because I really want to bring that back. I plan to begin Watchful Wednesdays again in mid to late November, probably around Thanksgiving.

Coloring pages are going to return as well, probably in November and be posted only on Fridays or Saturdays. It takes me a while sometimes to get through a coloring page, but I want to start working on them slowly but surely. I want to get a lot done in advance so I don’t have to rush through and end up hating a page I’ve colored. I plan to begin posting coloring pages again on November 4, which also happens to be my birthday.

Tasty Thursdays is going to stay, it just may not be weekly once again. Currently I’m just buying the same snacks and such over and over again, unless I go somewhere like Sprouts where I want to try new things. Graze has sent me another half off box, and that will be posted on 29th of September, so I’m hoping they’ll send me another half off offer in October and we can keep that as a once a month. NatureBox for September will be up this Thursday, the 22nd, at 12:30 CST. Currently the plan is for that to be the last one, but I may have to purchase a box in October because I found some snacks I really, really love. (If I do purchase a box in October, it will be a 3 snack box, unless someone uses my referral link again.)

Puzzling Saturdays will return in December, at my current plan. I like to work on puzzles during school breaks, and December would be the best time for me to do so. Therefore, I will be posting, hopefully, one puzzle weekly in December. I don’t know if Puzzling Saturdays will continue to be weekly after December, but I would like to hope so.

The last thing I want to discuss is product reviews. I’ve been trying for a long time to review some products I purchase and love, but I just haven’t been able to. I made a Hot Topic order last month and meant to review the clothes I purchased, but I never did. I just made another order with them, thanks to Hot Cash, and I fully intend to give a review on the items I purchased this time, all separate because of several reasons. I am absolutely going to pre-order Pokemon Sun and Moon, and, at the very least, review the packaging and designs soon after the games release. As I will be away on campus for 9 hours the day they release, and then another 8-9 the next day, I will be unable to the play the games until the 19th. When I do finally open them, I will be taking pictures and jotting down my thoughts on the packaging, and I plan to do a small review on the games themselves once I’ve completed Moon (I am going to be playing Moon while my sister will be borrowing my 2DS to play Sun.)

I’m honestly beyond excited for the rest of this year. I can’t wait to get the blog going at full force again, and hope to keep up the pace in 2017. Thank you for reading, and I’ll see you soon!

Note about posts beginning again this week

Posts are absolutely coming back this week, but I’ve been very busy and not in the mindset to read manga right now.

Because of that, Manga Mondays is being pushed to the side until I get in the right mindset to read manga again. Taking it’s place, for now, is Minecraft Mondays. I recently purchased Minecraft and became obsessed instantly. I absolutely love the game, and will be posting one or twice a week about my personal Survival world or my Creative world.

I can, at some point, share the world seeds I’ve used and then any one that wants to play in the same worlds that I have will be able to do as well! 🙂

With that, Minecraft Mondays will begin tomorrow with some screenshots from my Creative world, and I will definitely be posting about my YumeTwins box this week, and NatureBox will be next week! 🙂

An Update — You may have noticed…

As you may have noticed the last two weeks, each post that’s gone up has a had titled day to it, such as Manga Monday and Tasty Thursday.

I decided to dedicate each day of the week to specific topic! I know that Wednesday did not have a post last week, but my plan is to start the weekly topic for that day as well.

The daily topics are as follows:

Manga Mondays
Artful Tuesdays
Watchful Wednesdays
Tasty Thursdays
Fandom Fridays
Puzzling Saturdays

Sunday is going to be my free day where I can plan out my week of posts and just relax on my own or with my family, or catch up on homework for my college classes.

Puzzling Saturdays will be this week and will be about the jigsaw puzzles I am working on completing. I had two of my own and just bought two more from Dollar Tree this week (I highly suggest going to Dollar Tree for puzzles! Cheap, but well made with interesting designs)! So that will be starting this Saturday, January 30th!

Watchful Wednesdays will begin this week, and that will be the day I review anime episodes, so my plan is two different anime that day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Keep an eye on my Instagram as well! I’ll be having photos from my puzzles and other things there through the week!

New Year Plans — What I’d like to get done in 2016

Hey, guys! Happy New Year! Hope it’s off to a great start for all of you!

Today’s post is a long one about the things I’d like to get done this year! I guess you can call these New Year’s Resolutions, but, I’m not sure if I would personally go that far, haha.

Let me start by saying that I have changed my major at the university I am attending. I am no longer a graphic design major, but instead am a business administration major. This change came after a lot of thought, prayers, and tears on my part, and I feel peace and confidence in this decision.

Because of this change, I will still be very busy, but, I believe I will have more free time during the week to work on posts for this blog, and, hopefully, I’ll get a work study position or a job somewhere. I also plan to work on driving so I can get my license and take myself places.

Now, the big plans I have. At the moment of writing (perhaps not the moment of posting), I am waiting for several items from Amazon. I am waiting for three Copic markers (one sketch and two Ciao) in three different colors (two green shades and one that looks orange pink), a new sketch journal (will be explained in a moment), the 72 set of Prismacolor Premier colored pencils (I had gift cards haha), and a PC gaming controller.

The Copics, Prismacolors, and sketch journal are for a very good reason, not just because I saw them and said “I want those”. I will, even though I am no longer drawing for my major, be working on drawing skills throughout the year. I want to improve myself so that, perhaps, I can purchase a nice drawing tablet one day to use with Illustrator and Photoshop. I have printed off this challenge right here: https://monalisaliveshere.files.wordpress.com/2014/01/365-days-of-every-day-drawing-challenge-prompts.pdf and will be working on it every day, starting today! I have one sketching journal at the moment that I think it just a beautiful book, and would like to get a second copy of for later on, and I will be using this one to begin my drawing challenge. I will be substituting some of the prompts as I see fit, but will stick to the basic structure of one drawing a day. Each drawing will be posted to this other blog:https://thesleepingtotodle.wordpress.com/, as well as my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thesleepingtotodile/. I will include the day number and the prompt with each post.

I do plan to use my Instagram more and more, especially as I work on my drawing skills and try to complete my personal challenge of drawing all 721 Pokemon. The pictures of all Pokemon drawings will be put on Instagram and my deviantArt (http://sasukeprismacolor.deviantart.com/ ) but I do not plan on posting those to TheSleepingTotodile unless I think it looks really great. Coloring pages will still be posted here, though, especially as I have three different books and would like to challenge myself to complete one page from one book each day. I do plan to get more adult coloring books in the future.

Now, the PC gaming controller is something I have been trying to get for months to start a YouTube channel. I just last week purchased Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst AND Revolution for Steam because they were SO CHEAP for a sale through the GameStop website. I will be attempting to stream, at the very least, Full Burst (Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/thesleepingtotodile/profile ) and I also will be starting, hopefully soon (maybe this summer?), to post videos of my playing different video games on this YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmD8saoRfXKpjKKliYAuFFA. My plan is just to just talk about random things as I play games and I hope to entertain people with them. This choice came this past summer, actually, during which I found several YouTubers to follow and watch, and it has been on my mind before to start a YouTube channel, and it finally seems to be in my reach to do so. I would LOVE to get a headset to block out excess noise as I record, but that is not in my budget at the moment, sadly. I will stick with the microphone built into my computer for now, and I hope to have a webcam with the videos as well, so, please wait for this! I will be posting the videos to my other blog as well.

Besides my new endeavors, I want to update you guys on my anime and manga reviews.

I have not given up on these, I promise. I truly was so busy this fall semester that everything was put on hold for my classes. Now, though, I know I will have more free time on the weekends to work on reviews. I will catch up on the Assassination Classroom anime and the manga, and be posting reviews here. I hope to get through the anime this next week and get the reviews all written before the second season begins this month.

Naruto will be continued as well! I am still collecting the manga that I am missing, and yes, the anime will be reviewed! I am missing ONE of the Shippuden films and truly want to do reviews of those, especially The Last. I hope I can get a review of volume two of Naruto up soon, and then continue on. (I will, most likely, have a review next week of the Naruto spin-off, The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring. Please, PLEASE, do not read that one unless you have read the end of Naruto, or do not mind major spoilers.)

I will also be reviewing the light novels of a certain series as they come out and I get them, but I’m not saying what series it is. 🙂 You guys can guess, but I’m keeping it a secret for now.

My hope is that I can get one manga review a week, at the very least, from the series that I own and read, and I’d love to get at least two anime episodes reviewed a week as well.

Food reviews have pretty much stopped for now, I’m sorry. My family moved to another city and I am no longer able to go to the Asian market where I usually get all my Asian snacks and Ramune. I do have two more posts coming up on some Japanese chocolates I’ve purchase from Amazon, and I will try to get those posted in the next two weeks.

I would LOVE to do some product reviews of a few things that I own, like my 2DS, some video games, and maybe some beauty products as well (because I am a girl lol). I really want to review more than just anime, manga, and food. I want to do more things and show them to you guys!

We can also cross our fingers that bento lunches for my Monday through Thursday school week will be returning as well. Posts will be here and Instagram if I can get that started again.

I am going to do everything that I can to manage my time this year to post more, to do more. I’d also like to start Tweeting out Bible verses from my readings in the morning. I plan to begin a Bible plan to read the whole Bible in 2016 with the YouVersion Bible app on my phone and tablet. I will, probably, tweet out verses from those readings each day.

To everyone that read this very lengthy post, thank you so much for going through to the end!! If you would like to get into contact with me, you can drop me an email at thesleepingtotodile@gmail.com, or on Twitter, where I am tweeting under @SleepTotodile. I don’t have a Facebook page, but if you’d like one, I can try and get one up! Just let me know in the comments below.

If there is any manga, anime, or product you’d like to see a review of, please post it in the comments and let me know where I can find it!

Again, thank you so much for reading, and I can’t wait to start this new year posting and getting some content out!

See you all next week when we get back to our manga and anime posts!!

Anime Reviews will begin January 19th

I will begin reviewing anime starting on January 19th, a week from Monday.

I am planning to start with the first episode of Assassination Classroom, since FUNimation will have it up for non-subscribers to watch this coming Friday.

As Friday is the one day during the week that I do not have work or class (for on the work front), I am planning to review each Assassination Classroom episode as they are released for non-subscribers. Yes, I will be a week behind, but I cannot afford a FUNimation subscription right now.

I do plan to review other anime, especially Ouran High School Host Club, Naruto, D.N.Angel, Nura, and Tsubasa (i love these). Those will come slowly as I have the time and freedom from my Spanish class and my final capstone project.

Hmmm… yeah, that’s all. Be ready January 19th! Assassination Classroom episode 1, “Assassination Time”, will be reviewed!

A Change for Manga Reviews

I started back to my work study position Wednesday, after filling out several applications on Monday for positions at different stores (*fingers crossed, prayers being said*). My classes will begin again on Jan. 20, and, while I will have just one class Tuesday and Thursday, I do have my final capstone project to work on. Because of this, I will not have much time to read manga and watch anime.

I have come up with a new idea, though, to resolve this. I am going to try reading one chapter of a series at a time, and simply write a small review on the chapter itself.

I will list what volume the chapter is from, of course, but I think this will give me a better chance of actually getting reviews out for those of you reading. I’m hoping to start this tomorrow or Saturday with the first chapter of Naruto. If it doesn’t get out either of those days, I’ll try and post it on Monday. I’d like to get a chapter review or two up each day, if possible.

Let’s just see how this goes, huh?

A (Belated) Christmas Post

Uh… Merry belated Christmas! ^^; I had meant to post this on Christmas day, like, really late in the day, but the day went on slowly, I took a nap, worked on my new puzzle, and was just not in the mood to get on my laptop and write. :c Not even fanfiction got worked on *sigh*. Currently, I have a headache and just want to sleep, even though I slept until eleven today.

Anyway, I do have photos of the things I received for Christmas as gifts and in my stocking.

Gifts from family:

WP_20141225_012

In the back are my new boots. I picked out a black pair on Thanksgiving, but the size was too small and when we exchanged them, Payless didn’t have my size in the black ones. :c So I have tall brown boots to wear the rest of the winter. Red and white penguin pajamas (i also picked these out, ha…), a black folding fan, Konoha leaf necklace, TY Beanie Boos penguin (can you tell I like penguins?), pink Yoobi journal, purple flowered pocket journal(??? i think that’s what it’s called??), cupcake 2015 calendar, “Beauty and the Beast Falling Love” Thomas Kinkade puzzle (it’s based on his painting AND I have the cross-stitch kit in my room. :D), Colton Dixon “Anchor” CD, and “Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie” DVD (this was my big present :3).

Stocking and food bag:

WP_20141225_015

Cape Cod Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper kettle chips, Almond Pepero, three things of Post-It notes, three styles of Washi-Tape, a mini lint roller, a nail file, two Christmas design pencils, Pomegranate Raspberry EOS lip balm (I LOVE THESE THINGS) Chocolate coins, pack of roasted salted peanuts, JFC Akare Nori Maki, Russell Stover cake flavored chocolates, Ghiradelli caramel squares, penguin socks, Christmas Jelly Belly jelly beans, two mini Slim Jim sticks, Reese’s minis, a pink loofah (whoo~), and two cans of Pregresso New England Clam Chowder. (Not picture: 12 pack of Dr Pepper.)

Food bags are a tradition in my family. Every year “Santa” (*cough*mom*cough*) buys each of us a bag of chips that we want, a 12 pack of soda, candy, and one special food item that we rarely have. I always get clam chowder beacause I LOVE IT SO MUCH and I VERY rarely have it. I always try to say it and my other food items for a while so I can eat it when I really want it, and it’s been going well so far (it’s only been three days, but).

I also asked my mom is she could make sure there was a new loofah in my stocking, because mine BROKE and I needed a new one. This one is very nice. 😀

Hmm… That’s all I have about Christmas, yeah.

Right now, my family seems to be fighting off illness. My dad has been confirmed to have the flu AND strep, and I had a high fever last night and still have a headache. Other than that, I have nothing really planned until I go to my aunt and uncle’s house on the tenth.

I do have two things I am planning to work on soon: the famous deviantArt room meme and a Wreck This Journal.

I’ve been dying to do the room meme for almost a year, and am finally going to get to it after I purchase a new purse today/tomorrow from Amazon. I just cleaned my room earlier this month, and have to do a tiny bit of working in there about my desk before I do the meme, but now that I have the adobe products on my laptop again, I can do it at any time. (I also need to look for a new wallet… my Yoshi wallet seems like it’s going to fall apart on the bottom hinge.)

I do have a Wreck This Journal. I haven’t really worked on it since I got it last month, but now I have the time to work on it and would really love to keep track of my progress through photos and posts on here. I’m planning to use the Washi-Tape I have for it, and some pens that I have as well.

That’s everything I have to say for now, yup.

I’ll be writing posts today in a Word document and setting the ones that I can get done as scheduled posts and I’ll work on reading some manga books I’ve got and writing about those as well.

Until next time~!

Upcoming items

I’m so sorry for not posting this weekend! I got busy since Christmas is Thursday, and I was at church until about 2:30 yesterday, then I came home and made cookies with my sisters. (I also burned the back of my left hand while trying to get pizza out of the oven. It really hurts. ;–; )

So, no manga review, probably until January 5th, to be honest. I’m going to be busy this week and probably next week as well, but I do plan to get some posts scheduled so anyone that’s reading doesn’t have to sit and wait for posts.

Today I went to my local Asian market again (TWICE in two weeks!!) and I got some new things to test out for the blog! (Photoshop was used to remove distracting background.)

WP_20141222_003

This photo shows off the new and old things I have to review for the blog. Included is:

Strawberry Pocky, Peach Hi-Chew, Strawberry Hi-Chew, Crispi Roll, instant Miso soup mix, rice noodle soup, Almond Pepero, Cookies & Cream Pepero (only $.99!!), “Pejoy” (inside out Pocky), Kancho cookies, Hapi Party Mix, two tins of mixed rice crackers (love them), Shrimp Chips (I stalked this last time and broke down and bought a bag), chocolate covered cookies shaped as bamboo shoots, Green Apple Ramune, Mango Ramune, Melon Ramune, UCC Coffee with Milk in a can, and a Royal Mills iced Cappuccino.

Also, this lovely item arrived in my family’s mailbox today with my name on it:

WP_20141222_006 WP_20141222_007

It is the deliciousness that can only be a Graze box. I started getting Graze boxes back in August, and let me just say these things are GREAT to throw into my lunch bag or just snack on at home. I get them about every month or every other month (because I is poor college student making minimum wage. ;–; ) and I have liked almost everything they’ve sent me.

These boxes are awesome, healthy, tasty snacks that you can receive in the mail up to four times a month (they have a weekly option, if you have the money). If you’d like to try it out but don’t want to spend the money right away, I have a friend code you can freely use! Simply enter it when you sign up and you will get your first and fifth boxes COMPLETELY FREE. You will have to enter your credit or debit card number, but that is simply for identification purposes (and to make sure you’re not signing up and cancelling multiple times just to get free boxes, most likely), and you can easily cancel if you’re not pleased or you do not want to spend the money (or you don’t have the money). Anyway, my friend code is: LDWW2QRFP. Enter it just like that and you’re ready to start grazing. 🙂

I’m going to be receiving my free trial NatureBox this week as well (maybe? Possibly next week) and plan to keep those long enough to throw into my lunch box with my bento lunches. My Graze box is being reserved for this as well, as long as each of the items will keep (probably not that tasty looking popcorn I’ve been waiting for).

So, that’s everything for now. Again, sorry for no manga review this week, but I’ll be reviewing Naruto volume 1 when I get to it! Perhaps I’ll review D.N.Angel or Ouran High School Host Club after that (Maybe even Kimi ni Todoke or Mixed Vegetables). Two posts will be up on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and I will POSSIBLY post pictures on Christmas of my gifts I receive and my family’s Christmas tree (before everyone breaks into the gifts, lol).

I’ll be back to post correctly after Christmas. Until, have some pictures of the cookies I decorated:

(Why yes, that is an Uchiha fan cookie and that tree cookie had green cookie dough. Why do you ask? (*´・v・))

Plan for Posts

In my first post, I laid out the plan I had in mind for posting. I’m changing it up because it can take me some time to actually make my way through a manga book, or to sit down and write about a food item or something like that. I know I’m not going to be as busy as usually when classes start next month, but I’ll still have my classwork, especially for my capstone as I have to pass that in order to graduate in May. (Hoping and praying that I get a job next semester for right after I graduate.) Bento boxes will be posted when classes start on January 20 (most likely, I will take a photo and post about the bento box for the next day. So, it would be that the bento box is for January 20, but I post about it on the 19th).

So, this is the new plan:

Monday/Tuesday: Manga review & bento box
Wednesday: Japanese snack review & bento box
Thursday: American snack review & bento box
Friday: Anime episode review, online browser based game, & bento box
Saturday: Posting of some work I’ve done in Adobe Illustrator, cross stitched items, & anime episode review
Sunday: Weekly roundup

I am planning to start using my Instagram next semester to post pictures of my bento boxes each day, because I mostly take those to school when I’m stuck on campus, but I am considering using them at home on the weekends to keep me from pigging out on food and sweets (unless of course my family eats out).
